生旦淨丑表演藝術中心在美公開對外活動演出, 起始於1994年,並於2001年一月正式登記為非謀利事業機構 (Non-profit corporation )! 她的前身是來自台灣的”生旦淨丑舞蹈團”.而台灣的生旦淨丑成立於1987年,是當時台灣唯一的民營職業中國舞蹈團. Fantasia原名為”萬象”,後 更正為”生旦淨丑”, 原因是希望承襲舊有的國舞基本精神,充分表現國舞在人生及人性上的特殊詮釋方法, 並且藉由這四個字, 逐步地把國劇這個精緻藝術, 帶給在美國的孩子們!
生旦淨丑的孩子們,從國劇的身段中,學習中國女人的傳統儀態, 從國劇的武功中, 學習中國的功夫,及武術!國劇中有許多教化人性的歷史故事, 及優美的愛情故事, 生旦淨丑都將這些動人心弦的故
事,由簡易的舞蹈動作,表達出來! 生旦淨丑亦教小朋友唱國劇,打鑼鼓!我們的孩子們有許多機會在自己同學伴奏下, 表演武
舞!
Introduction
Fantasia Performing Arts Center was first established in Taiwan in 1987 and then was established in U.S. in 1994. That was the only one professional Chinese dance organization at that time. Its function is to ideally keep the dancing spirit of the classic Chinese culture, and to express the in such a way that would blend them in our daily life. With this basic function, gradually present the delicate Chinese opera to the kids in U.S.
Fantasia kids will acknowledge from the materials we provide to learn the divine way of the classic Chinese women. From our lessons, children also can learn the martial art of Chinese opera “Shen-duan” and “Kung-fu.” There are many stories of morals in the long history of China, as well as romance stories. Fantasia Performing Arts Center will make these fantasy to reality by expressing them with many resources and chances to exposed to this environment. Fantasia performing Arts center will open its arms to everyone of any age, gender, or social background. Everyone is welcome!
我們的教學理念
生旦淨丑的教學態度, 是遵循著有教無類, 因材施教的基本教育精神! 在藝術的創作領域中, 我們保留表演者的本來面目, 加以修飾, 及特殊技巧, 才形成真正屬於表演者的作品!生旦淨丑更是本著廣泛播種的原則, 因此, 每次的表演, 我們都儘量做到專業化, 但是, 我們永遠謙卑自居, 我們以非職業的姿態呈獻給大眾, 我們從來不出售門票, 為的不只是希望廣泛吸收觀眾, 更是對真正的職業專家們一種尊重!
Our philosophy
Our emphasis in teaching is “Teach everyone that comes, provide everyone’s needs”. We teach contemporary Chinese dance and opera. We will obtain the traditional forms, methods, and techniques. we will obtain the dancer’s personality and character. The only change that we would make upon one will be the understanding of form, method, and techniques. Our performance is free ticket because we would like more audiences to attend and give more respect to professional dancers as well.
