Young Asian-Americans often suffer from the lack of a concrete cultural identity. Many scholars state that the lack of culture heritage can lead to undesired behavior. Chinese Americans are often
stereotyped and discriminated against due to a history of dissention(Ryang 20xx). Racial tension causes many Chinese-Americans to distance themselves from their own culture and traditions, which leads to the loss of culture heritage and identity.

Fantasia Performing Art Center follows a crucial methodology that integrates the art of cultural performance into everyday lives, and vice versa. Fantasia is the only dance studio that extends the idea of combining culture performance with life style which can push students to understand a more prosperous, traditional, and empowered lifestyle through Chinese culture art. Fantasia’s main activity program is our Chinese Opera Dance, which combines of both Chinese Opera and Chinese culture dance.

Goals and objectives.

Our objective is to reach out and teach young asians about Chinese culture art, giving them self-confidence and a foundation of identity through cultural learning. Chinese culture history and art, has been built up and shaped for thousands of years. Students who understand and embrace Chinese cultural artistic values will become more understanding of their heritage and will then have a greater understanding and appreciation of the many aspects of their people
and culture. We also believe a key characteristic in learning is to incorporate the proper attitudes and manners into our programs. And so, we make it a priority to teach our students to learn how to
properly interact with others in various social settings. We expect students to perform their best, showing leadership, cultured perspective and behaviors, and more positive view developed throughout the activities and performances, making their time with us a life changing experience. In the long run, we expect to see the participants to develop into a more successful individual in their
academic and personal lives.
